Join us for a one-night-carnival of curiosity — an immersive, after-dark market where box trucks transform into secret worlds.
Each truck becoming a doorway into a whispered ritual, a light-soaked dream, a soundscape, a spell, a story waiting to be stepped into.
Mercado Nocturno is hosted in O'ga P'Ogeh Owingeh, (Santa Fe, New Mexico) on the occupied ancestral homelands of Tewa and Keres speaking Indigenous peoples.
What is the Night Market?
The Night Market is a transient bazaar of artist-led experiences contained within seemingly ordinary box trucks. In this impromptu carnival, each truck becomes a fully imagined 'establishment' dreamed up and run by one or more creative ‘proprietors’.
In past markets, these trucks have been transformed into screen printing studios, noodle bars, human spider webs, smash rooms, dinner parties, dance clubs, kindergarten classrooms, laser mazes, travel agencies, movie theaters, art galleries, tea houses... and countless other surreal setups.
Inspired by the legendary Lost Horizon Night Market, this growing constellation of events now spans cities across the country. The guiding principle is interactivity! There are no spectators, only participants!
